My name is Haley Anderson, and I am the founder of To The Moon and Back Photography! The name was inspired by my grandmother, who is one of my biggest supporters in everything I do! Ever since I was little, she would say, "I love you to the moon and back." So, two years ago, when I was making my first photography account on social media, I wanted to think of a name for my photography that would stand out amongst others. Thus, To The Moon and Back was born!
I grew up with my grandfather taking my brother and me to the mountains every weekend. There was always a new creek, a new river, and a new mountain overlook to be explored; and it was when I got my first disposable camera that I realized I could keep my adventures forever. As a kid, that realization changed the entire way I viewed life and nature. That’s where my love of photography began and where my inspiration to capture the world around me truly started to build. My goal is to express my respect and love for nature and to express the raw emotion that can be found in other peoples’ personal and exciting adventures. Art is my escape from my severe anxiety and depression disorders, and I hope my work will be an escape for others as well. I want my work to portray authenticity that my audience will, hopefully, be able to understand and/or connect with on an emotional level.
